What does certified organic mean?
Five:am products are certified organic by the Australian Certified Organic organisation (ACO). Not all “organic” claims are created equal. Certified organic products are backed by strict, independently audited standards that protect people, animals, and the planet. That means:
- No synthetic chemicals or GMOs.
- Full traceability from farm to shelf.
- Farming practices that build soil health, nurture biodiversity, and uphold animal welfare.
When you see certification marks like the ACO Bud logo, you can feel confident that your choice supports real organic principles and lasting positive impact.
What is the non-paper based material your paper tubs are coated with?
Our Five:am paper tubs and paper lids are 90% paperboard and the paper is of the highest level of sustainability made from responsibly sourced materials. However, we are realistic that the paper tub has a thin plastic lining to maintain the quality of our organic yoghurt. This is a leap forward in sustainability and we expect in the future we will be able to remove the plastic liner.
Are the paper tubs recyclable?
The paper tubs, lid and foil (when scrunched) are all recyclable.
